Sokhna Maïmouna DIOP

Sokhna Maïmouna Diop is currently Deputy Managing Director in charge of retail and corporate banking at CBAO Attijariwafa bank group, overseeing Senegal and branches in Burkina Faso, Niger and Benin.
She holds a Master’s degree in the management of banking and financial organisations from the University of Paris Dauphine and has obtained two executive certificates in general banking management and strategic banking management from HEC Paris and a certificate in banking and financial administration from the International University of Rabat.
Ms Diop started her career as an auditor with Deloitte SA in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 2005. In 2007, she joined Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in Paris and later in London, where she held various positions, notably Operational Security Manager and Chief Operating Officer in the Capital Finance and Private Equity businesses.
In 2012, she moved to CBAO in Dakar as Director of Strategy and Management Control. She gradually rose through the ranks to become Executive Director in charge of Finance and Strategy in 2020. By 2022, she had expanded her responsibilities to support functions as Deputy Managing Director for Finance, Technology, Transformation and Operations, and was promoted in December 2023 to take on her current role as Deputy Managing Director in charge of retail and corporate banking
