Ashok SHAH

Ashok Shah is the Group CEO of Apollo Investments Limited. He is a seasoned executive with over 50 years of progressive experience within the insurance industry both in East Africa and England. He majored in applied chemistry at Kingston University (UK) and is a Chartered Insurer by profession. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Other directorships include Barclays Bank, Central Depository System Corporation, Reliance Insurance Company (Tanzania), APA Insurance (Kenya & Uganda) Ltd, APA Life Assurance Ltd, and Apollo Asset Management. He is the first recipient of the Think Business Life Time Achievement Award for his contribution to the Insurance Industry in Kenya. He has been nominated to EY Entrepreneur of the Year, AABLA Entrepreneur and Philanthropy.

Ashok was ranked 9th in the top 25 CEOs making an impact in business in Kenya for 2021, Featured as the Top 25 most influential CEOs impacting Businesses in 2022,  as well as recognized as one of the most transformative CEOs impacting the economy in2023 by Business Monthly

Beyond his professional achievements, Ashok is deeply committed to social causes. His passion for transforming lives is evident in his contribution to building 40 sand dams in Machakos and Makutano, touching thousands of lives.
