AFIS Awards 2023

The AFRICA FINANCIAL INDUSTRY SUMMIT - AFIS reward companies and individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth of the African financial sector.

Representing the continent’s financial vitality and resilience, some 30 candidates, including companies, women executives and central bank governors, will be nominated. For each category, a prestigious, multi-disciplinary jury of professionals and industry experts will be responsible for selecting the nominees.

The awards will be presented during a special session at the AFRICA FINANCIAL INDUSTRY SUMMIT – AFIS 2023, which will be held on November 15-16, 2023 in Lome, Togo.

AFRICAN CHAMPION

The “AFIS African Champion Award” is dedicated to economic integration on the continent. Presented at the Africa Financial Industry Summit, the award recognizes the African financial group that has excelled in its regional expansion strategy and has significantly increased its presence and activity on the continent.

DISRUPTER OF THE YEAR

The “AFIS Disrupter of the Year Award” is dedicated to innovation on the continent. Presented at the Africa Financial Industry Summit, the award recognizes a young company that has demonstrated resilience in these complex times and whose innovation represents a market disruption. The company’s activity also needs to have increased significantly this year.

WOMAN
LEADER

The “AFIS Woman Leader Award” highlights female leaders in the financial sector who are active in both the public and private spheres. Presented during the Africa Financial Industry Summit, the award recognizes the woman leader who has a significant impact through the excellence of her career, the scope of her responsibilities and her commitment to promoting financial inclusion.

INNOVATIVE DEAL OF THE YEAR

The “Innovative Deal of the Year” trophy is awarded to African investment players. The award recognizes a large-scale financial operation that stands out for its structuring, strategic dimension and societal impact. Operational excellence and the sector’s ambition are honored.
